Baja Surf Camp Overview

There are ten first class breaks surrounding our Northern Baja Surf Resort. Directly in front of our resort we have an incredible right point break that can be ridden up to 600 yards. This right-hander breaks best on a South or a West North West swell. We have eight other un-crowded reef breaks within 7 miles of the resort that are all easily accessible depending on swell direction and size, which we constantly monitor by motorbike to assure plenty of great surf while you're here. The Surfing   Baja Surf Camp Right Point Wave at Baja Surf Camp Nice Lefts in Baja

Spot #1: Can handle triple overhead. Left hand reef break with power equivalent to some Hawaiian juice. 100 yards + ride.

Spot #2: A-frame reef. Long rights and lefts. Breaks like Trestles on a southwest swell. Can handle larger surf. 100 yards +ride.

Spot #3: Left hand break on a sand bottom. Breaks hollow with a lot of speed from the South West or North. 60 yards plus.

Spot #4: Breaks 1/4 mile out, and is fickled. Needs a ten foot swell from West North West, or North North West. Right hander. 50-80 yards.

Spot #5: 1/4 mile out with a ledge type reef that sucks out, barreling and fast. Needs a six foot swell to happen. 100-200 yards.

Spot #6: Left hand point break, on a North swell, can hold overhead to triple overhead. Can also break on a significant south swell.

Spot #7: Reef, mostly rights with a short left. Best in winter months, with west to North West.

Spot #8: A Left wave breaking in a bay, can get 8 to 10 foot with South West best on North West. 50 – 100 yards. Fast breaking wave.

Spot #9: Reef break, breaks best with South West swells. Can occasionally be crowded. 50-160 yard plus, right-hander.

Spot #10: Sand reef, breaks best with any Northwest swell. 100 yards plus.

Other breaks by Boat: Depending on the size and direction of the swell. Waves on our Remote Boat Trips are not mentioned…

Accommodations   Baja Surf Camp Baja Surf camp Property Dinner at the camp

The resort can accommodate large groups of up to 16 people in total comfort and safety. Our resort is enclosed by a gated community with two security guards. Each room consists of four cozy beds. We also have an extra casita house that has one queen bed, one double bed (a single can be added) with one bath that’s perfect for couples or families of up to five. (Additional $55/day) We provide all your bedding, but please bring a towel or two for beach and shower use.

The resort runs on a large solar system that fuels our electricity with clean hot water, with cold water: available at all times. Our full service cantina opens at 12 p.m. and offers authentic mixed drinks, beer and international red and white wine. Don’t forget catch our happy hour! We’ve been told we have the best home cooked meals in the industry. Three times a day. Our cuisine ranges from authentic Mexican, to Baja Bill’s famous tasty tri-tip, or local freshly caught fish. Please bring your appetite, our local chef Alma is waiting! We encourage you to bring your preferred in-between meal snacks.

Amentities

We have plenty to do besides only surfing for all ages alike, including mountain biking along the coastline bluff, half-court basketball, a pool table, ping-pong, horseshoes, bocce-ball, darts, board games, etc.

If you enjoy fishing, we have a beautiful bay located directly in front of our resort. A kayak will be available all hours of the day for your personal use. For an additional charge, a panga boat can be arranged for a full day of fishing. *Tackle is not included. Remember, fishing is exceptionally well from July through November.

During the evening, we provide a well-lit fire that lights our sand courtyard, outdoor bar, accompanied by our surround-sound system. A Satellite-T.V. is in our two-story cantina for major sporting events, as well as wireless Internet connection, so bring your laptops! (We do not supply laptops) We also have a full day trip into our local pine forests by our nearby mountains for incredible scenery, from seeing the coast all the way to Ensenada for an additional charge.

Surfboard rentals: If you want to travel light, we have surfboards for rent! We have a selection of 20 surfboards, which range from 6’ to 11’. Price per day $25.00
