| There have been a few NW swells this season up to this point. Many were coming in from steep angles and didn't really show too strong in San Diego. This last swell really hit well. Last night was an epic session. The surf was cooking and the shape was perfect...tide was low enough to have some good hollowness on the waves as well. Today this swell is winding down...better get out there while it lasts. I don't see any siginificant NW in the near future on the forecasts. |

| Yesterday was forecast to be 2-4 ft...quite the contrary. Overhead sets were showing in the morning at many breaks in North County San Diego on high tide. Not sure why the falling tide did not better the surf as size went down with the falling tide...not the norm. |

| Another steep NW swell is on tap this morning. San Diego seems to be getting it well. Yesterday had some good but inconsistent sets. I know that it was like a lake up in the South Bay yesterday. Hopefully the tide drop will bring some great surf for this morning. |
