We built this site to provide a free resource for surfers around the world to exchange ideas, gear, and find local information.

Posting to surfingList.com
Please post your gear, surfing related businesses, travel information and accomodations for the local areas on the site, surf breaks (please no secret local breaks), local surfing events, personals, surfing industry jobs, and surfing related websites to surfingList.com using the appropriate links underneath the Google Search box.

Editing and Deleting your Postings
Postings can be made without becoming a member. You will be emailed a link that will allow you to edit or delete your posting. However, if you want to be able to manage all of your postings from an account on SurfingList.com, you will need to create an account by following the Register link (our accounts are free), activate the account by clicking the link sent to you in your email, and then logging in before making your postings. If you do this before creating a posting or ad, the posting or ad will be put into your account. You will then have the ability to manage your postings or ads by following the My Stuff link from most pages on the site when you are logged in. Normal non-business related postings will remain on the site for 60 days. Business and Travel postings will remain on the site indefinitely.

Discussion Forums
The discussion forums are available for local and worldwide discussions, travel information, product reviews, and whatever else you can think of. If you have any ideas for topics, please let us know at admin@surfinglist.com.

Media Gallery and Photo Albums
The Media Gallery is available and contains short videos and photo slideshows. If you would like short videos or photo slideshows you created to be posted to the site, please contact brian@surfinglist.com. We will give the author / photographer credit for their work. Personal / Private and Public photo albums are also available on the site. To get there, follow the Photos link from the header. For personal albums, you will need to create your album and then can specify whether it is private or public by going and Modifying your album. To upload photos, simply click on upload file from the menu and specify which photos you want to upload. You will next be asked to specify which album you want the photos to belong to and whether you want to input a title and description. Admin approval (usually hapens within 24-48 hrs.) of all public photos is required so the photos won't appear immediately. Please do not upload any pornographic photos as they will be removed and you will be barred from the site.

Navigation
The local sites provide a filter so everything linked to that page is from that local area. The main home page is a worldwide resource with no local filter. From the local pages, use the surf forecasting data and find whatever else you might need.
